Parenting is a a sensitive subject. Having help to raise two of my own and currently working on step children (that I claim as my own blood)...I still claim very little concrete authority on the subject. I do believe that the world we live in is hostile toward all families...especially Black families. It is difficult too easy to lay blame or make excuses for short comings in our efforts. My observations of the many of the young people I see around me (in my circle of parents and children) leads me to believe that there is a definate need for more focus and discipline.

I see even my own being more lax and even oblivious at times to how there lack of self motivation and discipline will have consequences that will most likely make their lives very difficult.

Our children are very smart and exposed to so much more than we were when we were young. There knowledge and exposure level is high but they lack experience and wisdom and don't know how to deal with the flood of information and images that constantly bombard them. I feel sorry for their little minds and hearts some times. Then I get mad because they are easily distracted and can't focus on the present and lack enough self control to deal with making future plans.

Anyway...what were we talking about! LOL

And we wonder why they are the way they are! Having conversations with you I know you already have the answer!!! LOL

Hotep Family, I do not understand multi racial. If your mother is of Afrikan decent your are Afrikan. The oppressor has come up with this concept that if you have one drop of Afrikan blood in you that you are Afrikan.  Not true, If my Mother is white and my umbilical cord comes from her how does my spirit become anything other than what my mother is or was.

Sistas do not let man continue to degrade you you are the "creater" Mother Earth, Mother Netteru, "Mama Netter" you are second to know one!!!!!!!

Never has history "shown" not told or said, man to have created anything, no reproductive organs not possible for this to happen.

"Naturally" "Thru nature".

We need to get to Dr. Anta diop, Dr. Ben and Dr. Clarke's studies.

Some people do not want to be european decent by it is what it is.

Now no discredit to the brother, we do apply the semen to fertilize the seed in the womb and the child will take on our characteristics and some of our DNA but Mother is always the dominate donor to the child.

Sister Corrie, there is an interesting dialogue going on in the Racism Group and our last couple shows on address it. There are also a couple earlier shows that focus on oppression. Be well and I look forward to your input. Peace...

Race goes beyond and further back in history then what we people have labeled it to be. Or should i say we people have made it a bigger issue then it really needs to be by adding personal perception. Of course before i open my mouth and say anything about any topic i need to study some history. Any topic i have questions about i look it up in The Word of God first. So ill be doing that and come back to talk some more. in the meantime GO TO
this is very interesting as well
