This video was sent to me by Living Legacy Member Faith Kinchen. The film documents a brief history of world food production and exposes the disturbing truth behind engineered foods that have quietly filled U.S. grocery store shelves for the past decade. Many of us are so uninformed and put ourselves at risk by being so trusting or just unconcerned about what we consume.

Health Care in America is a controversial subject these days. What are your thoughts on our current situation and how it is being (or not being) addressed? See video of the President's address to congress or read his entire plan. You must have an opinion about this crucial matter...let us know what you are thinking. TAKING BACK CONTROL /Obesity Confronted

We all have something to important to live for in our lives. Please do not let obesity take control of your life. There is not a day that goes by in which I am asked how can I take the pounds off. My first reply is the dedication and motivation must equal the desire to take it off. Without these two important traits, it is merely talk. All over the big screen you will find TV programs dedicated to fitness, the latest fad diet and the latest diet pill. My question is will you take a shortcut and risk adverse side effects to your health? For some the answer is yes. Do not be fooled by gimmicks. Take the time to learn about healthy eating and exercise. It will make you feel and look better. I consider myself a fitness educator more than a personal trainer. It is amazing to help someone reach their fitness goals. My recommended book for those wishing to reach their fitness goal is, “The Abs Diet”. It can be purchased at any of the big book retailers. It is simple to read and follow. He will teach you about 12 simple yet powerful foods. For simple yet effective exercise join one of your reputable local health clubs and take their free group exercise classes. These are very motivating and if done consistently will yield phenomenal results. One of my favorites is the Spinning classes. It is important to me as an African American to take control of my health while I am young before the pills set the tone for my every move. Do you want to take control? Do you want to love longer? If so give my recommendations a try and you will not be disappointed.

African-Americans are less likely to raise concerns and ask questions of their physicians, suggests a U.S. study.
Study leader Dr. Howard S. Gordon, of the Michael E. DeBakey Veterans Affairs Medical Center and the Baylor College of Medicine, in Houston, Texas, investigated how race influenced doctor-patient communication. The investigators reviewed, transcribed and analyzed audiotapes from 137 separate doctor-patient consultations involving lung cancer and suspicious lung lesions.
The study, published in Tuesday's Cancer, found that the degree of patient engagement with the physician impacted the frequency of information provided by physicians but race did not, despite the finding that African-Americans received less information. While there was no difference in the amount of information when that information was initiated by the physician, there were differences in the amount of physician information provided when prompted by the patient.
African-Americans were less likely than Caucasians to ask questions or raise concerns to their physicians and to bring a friend or family member to the appointment. However, when doctors and patients were of the same race, any disparity in physician information provided disappeared, according to Gordon.

Milk Does Not Do a Body Good?

We have known since the early 1930’s, that in order for the body to function properly and to maintain optimum health, the general pH of the human system must be alkaline.[1]
Mucous is an allergic reaction to foods which are not natural to our bodies and too much of it, leads to various diseases. Milk, contrary to popular belief, is not good for us. Even if free of Bovine Growth Hormones, antibiotics and labeled as "Organic" , it is acidic and mucous forming. If getting enough calcium is a concern, there are healthy alternatives.

...and gullible... but we are seeing that we cannot trust the ones who treat us wrong to teach us right...

Are we just too trusting?
