Nothing could be finer than to be in Carolina in the morning!

I'm writing this post in Sanford, North Carolina. This city girl has spied wild turkeys, horses, cows, and trees with spirit. I've been in church all day and to tell you the truth, I think my adoptive parents wanted to go to an evening service. I believe they decided to give me a break and allowed me to enjoy some homemade chicken with dumplings, greens and cornbread that tasted like cake. Anacostia is a section of Washington, DC better known for its crime statistics than its beautiful natural landscapes.
