I've been finding and realizing and accepting just how much time it takes to maintain and build relationships. Everyday there is a new group to join...how good is the quality when I scatter myself thinly? How much time am I investing or SPENDING when I bounce back and forth. Below is a message I am posting on other sites where I have friends and associates. I would be interested in what you think. I am settling down in the Living Legacy Journal community. This is where I want to plant, grow and… Continue
This video was sent to me in an email. While I don't fancy myself a conspiracy advocate, I do question H1N1 and the vaccine. I would love to here your thoughts and gain a clearer understanding of the nature of this virus and if in fact there is real reason for alarm as it relates to the H1N1 virus. Or, should we be more concerned about the underlying reasons for it's existence?
Seth Godin argues the Internet has ended mass marketing and revived a human social unit from the distant past: tribes. Founded on shared ideas and values, tribes give ordinary people the power to lead and make big change. He urges us to do so. Please listen to his message (you won't be disappointed) and post your thoughts and comments on tribal unity and… Continue
Carter G. Woodson, Founder of Black History Month, 1875-1950 stated; "When you control a human's thinking you do not have to worry about their actions. You do not have to tell them not to stand here or go yonder. They will find their 'proper place' and will stay in it. You do not have to send them to the back door. they will go there without being told. In fact, if there is no back door, they will cut one for their special benefit. Their education makes it necessary."
We cannot simply rest on spending our way out of capitalism. We cannot continue to accept financial capital as the only capital holding worth. We must begin to expand our thinking about capital and how we work to help those outside learn how to get in and those who are inside need to learn how to become effective allies and transformation specialists to help others not only get in but learn to navigate and sustain their efforts. Let us hear what you think.
Examine this chart very carefully and comment accordingly...
A few years ago my daughter and I were sitting at the dinning table discussing her future and what we discovered spawned a whole new attitude and the chart above. She was just at the beginning of her career path, consequently we decided to put all things in perspective and talk about the possibilities. My background was in corporate communications and visual… Continue
KASESE, Uganda – For years, Charles Wesley Mumbere worked as a nurse's aide in Maryland and Pennsylvania, caring for the elderly and sick. No one there suspected that he had inherited a royal title in his African homeland when he was just 13.
On Monday, after years of political upheaval and financial struggle, Mumbere, 56, was finally crowned king of his people to the sound of drumbeats and thousands of cheering supporters wearing… Continue
In the early 70's I attended the American School of Brasilia, Brazil and was exposed to Led Zeppelin, AC DC, Kiss, etc... , however, I had an uncle who listened to Jazz and I will never forget when I first heard Billie Holidays' voice. It enveloped me and I was smitten.
There were a few records I had as a 10 year old and I remember The Commodores' "Easy", 1977 and 1978 "Three Times a Lady" song… Continue
According to Wikipedia.org, Blaxploitation is a film genre that emerged in the United States in the early 1970s when many exploitation films were made that targeted the urban black audience; the word itself is a portmanteau of the words "black" and "exploitation." Blaxploitation films were the first to feature soundtracks of funk and soul music. These films starred primarily black actors.

If you haven't gone to this site you are missing a wealth of very well presented information. Unfortunately our news media is too absorbed with entertaining to report the news accurately and without bias. They may also be influenced by other sources that don't serve the interest of the American people at large but only a select few (extremely wealthy and powerful). I know that this site is designed to disseminate the Obama Administrations… Continue
OSLO – President Barack Obama won the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize on Friday in a stunning decision designed to encourage his initiatives to reduce nuclear arms, ease tensions with the Muslim world and stress diplomacy and cooperation rather than unilateralism.
Nobel observers were shocked by the unexpected choice so early in the Obama presidency, which began less… Continue
