Watch Night

Tonight: "Watch Night" 150 years ago tonight was perhaps one of the most significant in the history of enslaved Africans in America.
I offer the following as an answer; not THE Answer; an answer to the question of improvement.

Chris Matthews Forgot Obama Was Black

I’m not sure what his motive was, what he was trying to say or who he was even saying it to, but so-called liberal analyst for MSNBC, Chris Matthews stated that he “forgot Obama was black for one hour” after the President’s first State of the Union Address.

His statement is a clear and present indicator that racism is top-of-the-mind with the majority in this country and the notion that America is now a “post-racial society” because of Obama’s election is nothing short of ridiculous.… Continue

Legalized Slavery According to the 13th Amendment

Legalized Slavery According to the Constitution

I know that you are about to sit where you are with your mouth wide open in total disbelief. But please understand that this has been going on since 1933 or thereabout.

The Federal Prison Industry Program called UNICOR has been exploiting black people and promoting slavery since the 1930's

Thanksgiving

“Thanksgiving”

Thanksgiving in America

For some it’s a grand affair

But for those who were here first

Thanksgiving day’s a curse

A hollow-day honoring despair

For the Natives of this country

Eat no turkey or cranberry sauce

But the memory of those

Whose bodies decomposed

And one hundred million souls lost

So as we celebrate our good fortune

Please remember how it was obtained

And pray for those souls

Buried… Continue

Re-Post "Actual Black History"

When it comes to black history most people don’t even know that our nation’s Capital would not exist were it not for the ingenuity and wit of a black man. Most Americans are aware that it was black labor, blood, sweat and muscle that built the city of Washington DC. They have been told that slave labor laid the foundation stones and that black men lost their lives during the building and construction of, not only the white house, but several of the huge monolithic federal government buildings… Continue

Black Light - Lewis Latimer

When I speak with young black people around this country and particularly in Washington DC one of the things that is clear as the whites of their eyes is how little they know about the many magnificent contributions their ancestors have made to the world at large, and to America specifically.

If you wonder why black children suffer so disproportionately from low self esteem it doesn’t take a magnifying glass to recognize that most of the Black examples of brilliance, ingenuity and… Continue

21st Century Braves

It is time we remember who we are and our ancestral greatness. It is time we took credit for all the creature comforts we have provided to the citizens of this country. We must never forget that virtually all of the wealth enjoyed in these United States came as the result of former slaves doing the bidding of former slave-owners. We must remember that due to miss-education, and segregation Black people have been systematically held back and it is high-time we changed the way we look at things.… Continue

New York Post Cartoon

Concerning the sick, racist and malignant New York Post cartoon depicting the chimp being shot by police officers with the assassination undertone; unfortunately there is an underlying disappointment with a great many elitist over the election of President Barack Obama. Many of these people will always believe that a black man is inferior and has no business running the country. They are shocked and appalled that America would make this decision.

This disappointment comes from over… Continue

Hurt People, Hurt People-Fade to Black

When we say “it starts in the home” what does that mean? When we say, “he has no home training” what does that mean? I agree that it all goes back to the home; however it goes much farther than the home. Our problems are systemic and reach way down into our psyche. How did our homes become so disjointed, fragmented and broken? Why are so many African American homes in disarray? What causes our children to be so apathetic?

When we say “it starts in the home” we are only dealing with the… Continue

A Black Woman's Smile

Can someone please explain why so many white people are upset about this love poem that I have written to black women?

A Black Woman’s Smile was written because I see the need for black men to treat their women better and I wrote this to point out some reasons why they should. The response from most black women is favorable. One referred to it as “the black woman’s anthem for the 21st century.' Another attorney friend of mine suggested I 'insert it into an alarm clock' so she could… Continue
