I ordered a bunch of books from Amazon earlier this week. Three were written by members of this community. I bought Pop Pop's Garden by Lydell Jackson, Breath Of My Ancestors by Ty Gray-El, and Sweet Lavender by Terry O'Neal.
Now when I order books from Amazon, I always choose free shipping because I've learned from experience that they will ship just as fast with free shipping as they would if I had paid for expedited shipping. For example, I ordered this latest batch of books on the 13th. My wife called me on the fifteenth and told me that Lydell's book had already arrived! Why pay for shipping when there is no advantage?
Since I was out of town when Pop Pop's Garden arrived I asked my wife to open it and describe it to me. I was surprised and pleased when she told me that every page was in full color. Now I've been to Lydell's website several times (http://jaxon.creataplace.com) and I know he's an excellent artist. So I asked my wife were there any pictures that were really awesome. She replied, "They're all awesome."
I can't wait to see it and see how my kids respond to it. My three youngest are ages 3, 6, and 7. I'm curious to see their reactions.
